Recovery codes let you regain access if you lose your authenticator device. Store them somewhere safe; they're shown once.
Add Relay to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or any MCP-compatible client using the URL below.
Sign in to your client first — after adding Relay, it opens a browser tab to authorize with your Relay account.
ChatGPT opens its New connector dialog and the button copies the URL — paste it as the Server URL, tick the box, and Create. First time? Turn on Developer mode ↗ first (needs a paid plan).
Claude Code adds Relay from the terminal — that button copies the command; run it, then /mcp to authenticate.
“Custom connector” is normal. Relay isn't in the directories yet, so the URL is all your app needs. Same Relay, works just the same.

Restart Claude Desktop and start a new chat — it'll open a browser tab to authorize Relay with your account. Sign in there to finish connecting.
Add Relay from your terminal, then run /mcp to authenticate:

The first time you use a Relay tool, Cursor opens a browser tab to authorize your Relay account — sign in there to finish connecting.
In Cowork settings, paste the MCP Server URL above into the MCP Servers field and save.

Turn on Developer mode in Settings → Connectors → Advanced, then Create a connector and paste the MCP Server URL above. Authorize with your Relay account.
In a new chat, open the + (tools) menu, pick Relay, and ask it to load your context. Developer-mode connectors need a Plus, Pro, or Business plan.
Any client that supports the Model Context Protocol can connect using the server URL above — Windsurf, Zed, JetBrains, Kiro, Warp, and CLI agents like Gemini CLI and Codex. Refer to your client’s documentation for adding a remote MCP server.
Most clients open a browser tab the first time they use Relay, asking you to sign in and authorize your account — sign in there to finish connecting.
